I stopped school when my youngest sister started to attend college. I had to give her way because I have to earn a living. It was a sacrifice I was willing to make. I will eventually get back to school just not right now. I landed a home-based job as a virtual assistant and I only need to work for four hours every day. I checked online for other home-based jobs and I landed this article about distance learning class. Classes straight from the computer screen. I never thought this was even possible. I only need one year worth of units to finish my degree. I checked that there was my course; they offer it at almost half of the tuition I pay.
I asked my mom’s permission if she would be okay with it and she was. I used the money I had on my account and enrolled for the class. I was really excited amidst the fact that I need not travel to get to school. I was a little apprehensive as well because this would be my first time. I was welcomed at the course and I got a passkey to access my profile in the university’s database. I can check my ranking their and check my grades on the same website as well.
The classes are similar to those I had in school minus the classmates of course. I also have video conferences with my professor who by the way is British. We meet every Friday for some verbal classes. We talk and he gives me his critiques after the conversation. It wasn’t that bad and it’s a good way of practicing what I had learned from the manuals.
Exams are found on the website and I can also view my scores right away. I can check which areas I needed to work on to harness my craft. I never thought it was this easy. I never really believed that I will go back to school. I guess all I needed was that tinge of hope that things will be okay. There is no prayers left unanswered and there is always a chance for everyone to succeed.
